Almost every enquiry we get in Castle Pines starts with the same question in some form: do I need a deep clean, or will a standard one do? It matters, because the two services differ significantly in time, price and result — and booking the wrong one is the fastest way to be disappointed.

What a standard cleaning actually covers

A standard cleaning is maintenance work. It covers the surfaces you see and touch every day: kitchen counters and appliance exteriors, bathroom fixtures, floors throughout, reachable dusting, beds made and trash emptied. It follows a fixed checklist so the result is consistent visit after visit.

The important word is maintenance. A standard clean is designed to hold a home at a level it has already reached. It is efficient precisely because it is not fighting months of accumulated build-up.

What a deep cleaning adds

A deep cleaning includes everything in a standard clean and then adds the detail work that simply does not fit into a routine visit. This is the slow, hands-on portion of the job.

  • Baseboards, trim, door frames and switch plates hand-wiped throughout
  • Inside the oven, refrigerator and microwave on request
  • Shower grout, tile and glass treated for soap scum and hard-water film
  • Vent covers, ceiling fans and light fixtures dusted and wiped
  • Cabinet fronts and handles degreased rather than spot-cleaned
  • Behind and beneath movable furniture and appliances

The three-month rule

Here is the simple test we use at estimate time. If your home has had professional cleaning within roughly the last three months, a standard clean will serve you well. If it has been longer than that — or if it has never had a professional clean — start with a deep clean.

The reason is practical rather than commercial. Send a standard crew into a home with six months of build-up and they spend the entire visit fighting it, run out of time and finish nothing properly. You pay for a standard clean and receive an incomplete one.

The pattern that costs the least over time

The most economical approach for most Colorado households is one deep clean to reset the home, followed by standard cleans on a recurring schedule to hold it there. Each recurring visit starts from a good baseline, which means more of the time goes into detail instead of catch-up.

Clients who do this typically find they need a full deep clean only once or twice a year afterwards, usually before the holidays or at the change of seasons. On a recurring plan, the rotating detail focus covers much of that ground anyway.
